What We Love About
Waldo’s Secret Garden

We walked into Waldo’s Secret Garden and instantly felt like we’d stumbled into Vero’s wild, old-Florida daydream. Sitting with Charlotte under the open-air Spanish kitchen with two long “sister” tables to Driftwood’s Hall of Giants overhead, wrought iron and chandeliers all around was magical. We loved that nothing’s over-manicured; the plants are gloriously free, exactly how Florida should feel.

What really won us over is Charlotte and how she lets people dream big here. One weekend it’s a 3,000-person art festival or a ghost tour, the next it’s an intimate, fairy-lit wedding while it all still feels personal. Her monthly Antique Barn weekends invite everyone to wander and soak up the history (she even gave us one of the originals from Waldo’s photo archives–goosebumps!).

We left feeling like we’d touched a living piece of Vero: family legacy, community heartbeat, and a place that welcomes new ideas with open arms. If you love old-Florida charm with room to create your own story, this is it. Be sure to stop by and check it out yourself!
